Your Investment Options: Financial Aid

Paying for your college education isn’t as difficult as you might think, regardless of whether you’re pursuing an Interior Design degree or any of our other exciting career education paths.

Collins College has a financial plan for everyone. In fact, we participate in a variety of financial aid programs for those who qualify. Information and guidance about specific programs are available in our Tuition Planning Office.

We encourage you to apply for admission and financial aid as soon as possible so that you don’t miss the starting date for a specific program. As an applicant, you’re required to complete a personal interview with an admissions representative either in person, online or by telephone, depending upon the distance from school. This way, you can see our facilities and equipment and ask questions about career objectives and curriculum.

Collins College offers eligible students a wide variety of financial assistance options through federal, state, institutional and private funding sources. Some of these include:

  • Federally Funded Grants – These include Federal Pell and Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants, which are based on a student’s calculated financial need. Grants do not have to be repaid.
  • Scholarships – Sources include private businesses, corporations, foundations and individuals. Donors and deadlines vary, and criteria may be based upon academic excellence. Scholarships do not have to be repaid.
  • Federal Student Loans – These include Federal Stafford and PLUS loans, each with different requirements and criteria. Loans must be paid back after you either finish school or drop below half-time enrollment.
  • Federal Work Study – Assist students in meeting the cost of their education by working part-time while attending school. Positions may either be on campus, off campus, or community service-related.
  • Private Loans – Various lending institutions offer loans to help cover the gap between the cost of education and the amount of federal programs.

Financial aid is available for those who qualify.
